Annie Sullivan and The Trials of Helen Keller

lundi 16 mars 2015, par Julia Fady

After reading and meeting Joseph Lambert the author of Annie Sullivan and The Trials of Helen Keller, the 5e International class wrote and performed a play based on his book about a deaf-blind child Helen Keller and her teacher Annie Sullivan. Everyone performed, some even had to imagine they were deaf-blind, like Helen !

The students performed in front of parents and students from the 4e International in the cinema room on Thursday 19 February.

The whole class enjoyed writing and performing this play. We also all learned American Sign language to be able to communicate like Annie and Helen.

As Helen Keller once said, « The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched—they must be felt with the heart. »
